Marcos Salamanca (Iberian Ham)

Logo MarcosIn the southeast part of the province of Salamanca, at an altitude of above 1000 meters, Guijuelo lends its name and its renown to the most important handcrafted Iberian pork producing region in Spain.

Marcos Sotoserrano SLU started up back in 1960 with a small production growing a little bit every year since then thanks to the great quality of their productos. In 2000, company was takenover by the Nozaleda family, An investment carried out between 2004 and 2009 of 10 million euros, transformed the small production into one of the most advanced and capable producers of iberian ham, charcuterie and meat. Currently the installations include:

  • 16 Natural CellarsIberian Ham
  • 24 Modern Cellars
  • 3 Production Lines
  • Capacity: up to 40,000 pigs a year.
  • BRC and ISO 9001:2000 Certificates
  • "Free Rango Iberico Pork Production" by PAI Ltd.
